Jesus Boat - Boat Ride - Mount of Beatitudes - Mount Arbel

Today we saw the 2000 year old boat discovered in the Sea of Galilee in 1986. This boat dates back to the time of Christ and is probably the type of boat that He used.

We sailed on the Sea of Galilee while I taught about Jesus calming the storm on the sea.

The seagulls were out in full force once we began throwing bread crumbs in the air to feed them.

They'd even catch the bread in mid-air!

This photo is of the Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus taught the crowd in Matthew 5-7.

We also visited the area where Jesus made fish for His disciples after His resurrection in John 21.

What better lunch to have on a day like this than "St. Peter's Fish." These gals are actually from Phoenix and work at Good Samaritan Hospital.

The fields around the Sea of Galilee were in full bloom with spring flowers, of course I had to get a few shots!

We went to the top of Mount Arbel which gives incredible views of the entire Galilee region and the sea below. This may have been the "high place" where Jesus often went up to pray.

We ended the day with baptisms in the Jordan River, this year we sat out, the water is pretty cold!
